Product Description: Akroform Resorcinol-80/EPR is a polymeric dispersion of Resorcinol (1,3-Dihydroxybenzene). Resorcinol is typically used with hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) or other methylene donors along with silica to make rubber-to-fabric adhesion possible. Resorcinol flakes or powder require high temperatures to achieve good dispersion. The masterbatch form allows lower temperature addition, reducing sublimation and improving adhesion. Normal dosage for fabric adhesion is 2.4-3.0 PHR active resorcinol along with 1.6 PHR active HMT. Advantages: Polymer bound or encapsulated dispersions are a proven means of upgrading plant safety, efficiency, quality & raw material control. Akrochem polymer bound or encapsulated chemical dispersions eliminate any irritating dust, as well as other potential hazards in handling powders in the plant. The physical form is easy to handle and weigh accurately. With a dispersion, better uniformity of the mix at lower processing temperatures is possible. Information provided by Akrochem Corporation |
