Lanxess Aktiplast® 2635 Processing Aid
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: Function: Peptizer and processing promoter for natural and synthetic rubber

Use: Aktiplast F 2635 has a strong peptizing effect on natural and isoprene rubbers at mill temperatures of about 60 °C. Being soluble in rubber, a homogeneous breakdown is achieved without the risk of blooming. As a peptizing agent Aktiplast F 2635 is noticeably stronger than Aktiplast and Aktiplast T. Aktiplast F 2635 is particularly suitable for the mastication of natural and synthetic rubber as well as of blends at high temperatures, since Aktiplast F 2635 counteracts the possible cyclization of the polymer, e.g. SBR. Aktiplast F 2635 slightly delays scorch. It serves as a dispersing agent for all compounding ingredients, for active carbon blacks, and light-colored reinforcing fillers. Due to its zinc content Aktiplast F 2635 activates the vulcanization. Aktiplast F 2635 reduces the mixing time. It also remarkably improves the flow characteristics of the uncured compound. Aktiplast has no adverse effect on rubber-to-metal bonding. Aktiplast F 2635 has a favorable influence on the storage stability, which is of particular advantage in direct vulcanization.

Application: Molded and extruded articles of all kinds, e.g. conveyer belts, tire compounds
