Product Description: MasterSil 711Med is an easy to use, one component, high performance silicone elastomer compound for bonding, sealing, coating and formed-in-place gaskets. This specialty system is most noteworthy for its very fast and completely non-corrosive cure. MasterSil 711Med is flowable and bonds well to a broad range of substrates, including glass, metals and many plastics. The speed of the cure depends on the thickness of the layer and the humidity; the thinner the layer the faster the cure. It is extremely soft with superb flexibility and elasticity and outstanding electrical insulation properties. The system is resistant to many sterilants including EtO, gamma, radiation, glutaraldehyde and other liquid steriliants. MasterSil 711Med is translucent. It is serviceable from -75°F to +400°F. One particularly useful product property is its ability to adhere well to silicone substrates, a commonly used material in medical device manufacturing. Moreover, since the system is totally non-corrosive, it is compatible for medical electronic applications. These special product properties enable the system to be a candidate in a number of different medical device manufacturing situations.
