Michelman® Michem® Flex P1883 Water based heat seal coating and primer
Categories: Fluid; Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: Description: Water based heat seal coating and primer for extrusion coated resins.

Usage: Michem® Flex P1883 is a general purpose primer for metal and paper substrates to promote adhesion to extrusion coated resins resulting in strong bond strength and chemical resistance. It may also be used as a heat seal coating for bonding aluminum foil to itself.

Application Data: Michem® Flex P1883 may be applied via flexo, gravure or smooth roll coater. When possible, corona or flame treat substrates prior to priming and dry thoroughly with hot, circulating air. May be used for in-line or off-line processes. Recommended application weight as an extrusion primer is between 0.1 - 1.0 dry g/m2. Heat seal coatings require heavier application weights, typically 1-3 dry g/m2.
