Wacker Silfoam® SE 21 FOOD GRADE Silicone Antifoam Emulsion
Categories: Fluid

Material Notes: Product description: SILFOAM® SE 21 FOOD GRADE is a 10% active emulsion designed for controlling foam in aqueous systems. (Under Title 21 "Food and Drugs," Part 173, "Secondary Direct Food Additives Permitted in Food for Human Consumption," Paragraph 173.340 "Defoaming Agents"). SILFOAM® SE 21 FOOD GRADE can also be used in various industrial foam control applications and as adispersion/coating leveling agent.

Special features:

  • Long lasting foam control
  • Rapid foam knockdown
  • Chemically stable
  • No offensive odour
Application: SILFOAM® SE 21 FOOD GRADE can be added to most foaming systems as is or by diluting with either water or a portion of the foaming system. In hot systems and in processes where maximum uniformity of the dispersion is required, SILFOAM® SE 21 FOOD GRADE is best diluted with cool water before adding it to the foaming solution. Prior to use, SILFOAM® SE 21 FOOD GRADE should be gently stirred with minimum shear to assure uniformity of the emulsion.
