Dover Chemical MAYCO BASE 4220 Sulfurized Methyl Ester Low Viscosity, Staining Sulfurized Additive
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: Mayco Base 4220 is a sulfurized methyl ester designed to be used in products where low viscosity, excellent base oil (especially highly refined paraffinic) stability, and high wetting characteristics are key. Mayco Base 4220 possesses relatively low odor for such a highly sulfurized additive and the very low viscosity makes blending the additive into base oil an easy task. Mayco Base 4220 can be utilized as a performance booster sump-side, as it will readily mix with the currently used product in the system, if applied at a point of even mild agitation or circulation Some applications in which Mayco Base 4220 may find use are in products designed for gun drilling honing, and heavy duty grinding. Since Mayco Base 4220 contains active sulfur, it should not be used in products destined for applications on the yellow metals (copper, brass, and bronzes).
