A copper-nickel alloy of the 70-30 type having superior weldability. It is resistant to corrosion and bio-fouling in sea water, has good fatigue strength, and has relatively high thermal conductivity. Used for sea-water condensers, condenser plates, distiller tubes, evaporator and heat exchanger tubes, and salt-water piping. Standard product forms are round, hexagon, flats, forging stock, pipe, tube, plate, sheet, and wire. Data provided by the manufacturer, Special Metals. |
