Master Bond MasterSil 153AO Two part thermally conductive, electrically insulating silicone
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Silicone

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Paste consistency
  • Long open time
  • High temperature resistant
  • Remarkable adhesive properties
Product Description: Master Bond MasterSil 153AO is a two component silicone for high performance bonding and sealing. With a forgiving 1 to 1 mix ratio by weight, it has a paste consistency and minimal flow while curing. It generates very little heat after mixing and has an exceptionally long working life. MasterSil 153AO cures at ambient temperature or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. The optimum cure is overnight at room temperature followed by 2-4 hours at 135°F to 185°F. Also, it contains no solvents or diluents and has very low shrinkage upon curing. This silicone adhesive bonds well to a wide variety of substrates such as metals, glass, ceramics and many plastics. Moreover, it bonds tenaciously to silicone rubber. Other outstanding features include high temperature resistance, silicone type flexibility, and exceptionally strong bonding properties. As an addition cured system, it does not require exposure to air for complete cross-linking. This system is top notch for withstanding thermal cycling and shock. Minimal stress is generated when bonding dissimilar substrates. It is white in color, with a service temperature range spanning between -65°F to +400°F. MasterSil 153AO is a great choice for applications involving sensitive optical and electronic components where heat dissipation along with electrical insulation is critical.

Product Advantages:

  • Addition cured, no by-products released during cure, does not require air for curing
  • Convenient handling, 1:1 mix ratio by weight
  • Paste consistency
  • Several curing schedule options are available
  • Very low shrinkage upon curing
  • Especially robust adhesive properties
