Chemours Viton® TBR-605CS with 25 phr N774 Carbon Black  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Fluoropolymer, TS; Thermoset Fluoroelastomer; Rubber or Thermoset Elastomer (TSE)

Material Notes: Viton® Extreme™ TBR-605CS (formerly VTR-8802) is a base-resistant TFE/propylene polymer, containing a proprietary bisphenol curative. Viton® Extreme™ TBR-605CS utilizes a bisphenol cure site, together with optimized molecular architecture, to provide a polymer that:
  • Cures quickly, to a high state of cure
  • Exhibits excellent mold release and low mold fouling
  • Is inherently resistant to attack by basic chemicals
  • Provides excellent heat resistance
  • Provides superior resistance to hydrocarbon oils compared to other TFE-propylene polymers
  • Provides excellent compression set resistance

Information provided by manufacturer.

Chemours was formed from former DuPont performance chemicals businesses, including the Viton product line, in 2015. This specific grade had been discontinued prior to the spinoff.
