| CX Concrete Floor Primer is a waterborne epoxy primer for concrete substrates. It is designed to manage and reduce moisture vapor emission (out-gassing) of concrete slabs by controlling the rate of transmission through the permeance of the primer. CX Concrete Floor primer is used on concrete floors and slabs, interior use, where low-odor applications are desired, where moisture vapor transmission of substrate exceeds 3 lb./1060 sq. ft./24 hours, and where vapor drive of porous concrete surfaces needs to be controlled. The percent solid content is 51%. The drying time is 5 hours. The flash point is >200° given the ASTM D 93 test conditions. The VOC content is 118 g/L (0.99 lbs./gallon). The pull off strength after a 7 day cure is >300, depending on substrate. The coverage rate is 350-400 sq. ft. per gallon. After one week CX Concrete Floor Primer is resistant to phosphoric acid (5%), acetic acid (5%), lactic acid (10%), diesel, motor oil, hydrogen peroxide, and salt water. After one week it is not resistant to nitric acid (5%), hydrochloric acid (10%), Sulfuric acid (10%), jet fuel, gasoline, and brake fluid. Information provided by ChemRex, Inc.
