| Description: XZ 92229.03 is an aqueous dispersion of a modified carboxylated styrene butadiene copolymer. It has been developed for use as adhesive latex for secondary backed tufted carpets. It is also suitable in one-shot or pre-coat applications when a soft handle is required. Applications: XZ 92229.03 is typically formulated with filler levels of between 200 to 400 parts of calcium carbonate (based on 100 parts of dry latex). XZ 92229.03 may need to have a dispersant added, depending on filler type and level but does not usually need additional surfactant for foaming to the required density. XZ 92229.03 provides very good adhesion of a wide range of secondary backing fabrics (e.g. Action BacTM, felt backing) to the tufted carpet. XZ 92229.03 contains an antioxidant to prevent premature aging of the backing. |
