Solvay CYCOM® 7714A Epoxy - Eight Harness Satin (8HS) Carbon Fabric Composite
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy/Carbon Fiber Composite

Material Notes: CYCOM® 7714A resin is a 250°F (121°C) curing epoxy resin with 160°F (71°C) wet service temperature capability. CYCOM 7714A is formulated for autoclave processing but has been successfully processed by press molding. Unidirectional tape and woven fabric impregnated with CYCOM 7714A resin will retain excellent tack and drape for at least 10 days at 72°F (22°C). Standard cure cycle is two hours at 250°F (121°C). No post cure is required for 160°F (71°C) wet service capability. CYCOM 7714A can be impregnated via solution and hot melt techniques on all available fibers and fabrics.

Features & Benefits:

  • 250°F (121°C) cure
  • Available on fabric, tape and roving
  • Large industry database
  • Flame retardant
  • 200°F (93°C) dry service temperature
  • 160°F (71°C) wet service temperature
  • Laminate and sandwich panel usage
  • Autoclave and press mold processing
  • Used as self-adhesive system
  • Co-curable with CYCOM 7701, CYCOM 7714 and CYCOM 97714A resins
  • Meets all NASA outgassing requirements
  • Shelf life of 6 months at 0°F (-18°C), 10 days at 72°F (22°C)
Applications:
  • Aircraft interiors
  • Seats and control surfaces
