SE BCP 817 is manufactured by a solution process using cobalt catalyst which produces polymers with a very light color and low ash content. A non-staining stabilizer is added during the production process. BCP 817 is suitable for tires, conveyor belting, footwear and mechanical goods. It offers a unique property combination of good abrasion resistance, particularly at high severity, excellent groove crack resistance and good heat aging. Other features include high resilience, low hysteresis, good set properties and a low glass transition point which results in better low temperature performance. BCP 817 is able to accept high filler and oil loadings without significant loss of properties. It may be blended with natural rubber and styrene butadiene (SBR), isoprene (IR), nitrile (NBR), or polychloroprene (CR) synthetic rubbers. BCP 817 is supplied in bales weighing ca. 34 kg. Bales are wrapped in 50 micron PE or EVA film. Information provided by Dow |
