ChevronTexaco MERCON® V Automatic Transmission Fluid
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Beginning with the 1997 model year, Ford introduced a higher performance level ATF with the MERCON V specification. Many Ford automatic transmissions from 1999 on will require a MERCON V fluid. The most notable exceptions are the E40D, 4R100, and CD4E transmissions, which still specify regular MERCON ATF.

Chevron ATF MERCON® is fully approved for MERCON V, as well as DEXRON®-III and MERCON® approved. It provides excellent performance in frigid cold and is formulated to resist viscosity breakdown for long fluid life.

Applications

Chevron Automatic Transmission Fluid MERCON V is designed specifically for use in Ford Motor Compay transmissions that require a MERCON V fluid. The enhanced properties of the MERCON V specification offer premium performance in MERCON or DEXRON-III applications.
