Protective coating / primer for vacuum coated metalized films. Michem® Flex B3511 is designed to be applied onto metalized film or used as a metal adhesion primer. A thin, dried coating is transparent, contributes to metal protection / adhesion and allows further processing of metalized films. Properly coated and dried films are not expected to exhibit blocking to the backside. Suggested coat weight is 0.4 – 0.8 dry gsm. It is recommended that the product be used undiluted, however if needed to achieve target coat weight, it can be diluted slightly with soft water. Usage: A water-based clear protective top coat that provides good adhesion of vacuum
metalized films to inks and laminating adhesives. This product can also be used as a primer for metallization processes.Applications (properties imparted): Functional Coatings (rub resistance, water resistance, Substrate - film, barrier).
