| Product Description: Akro-Zinc Bar 85 is a dispersion of French Process Zinc Oxide in naphthenic Oil. Performance & Use: Zinc oxide has specific applications where Akro-Zinc bars, zinc oxide dispersions, have clear technical merit, when compared to zinc oxide in its typical powder form. The Akro-Zinc bar can give more rapid incorporation when added late in a mix cycle; when incorporated in low viscosity compounds imparting good zinc dispersion; providing good dispersion of zinc oxide in thin walled extrusions and they have excellent storage stability. Applications: Akro-Zinc Bar 85 can be used in place of zinc oxide on a part for part basis. It can be used in applications where a pre-wetted product is desirable. Such as: - ?G-type Neoprenes where addition of zinc oxide late in the mix is indicated.
- ?Low hardness compounds where zinc oxide dispersion is a problem because of low compound viscosity.
- ?Thin walled extrusions for good dispersions.
