Barium Sulfate is Affirmed GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by the US FDA (21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 175.380, 175.390, 176.170, 177.1210, 177.1350, 177.1460, 177.2600, 182.99. BariScan barite is manufactured in Chatsworth, GA under stringent quality assurance procedures and Good manufacturing Practices (GMP).
