Material Notes: Lupolen 4532D is a natural color, high-density polyethylene generally used in extrusion of steel pipe coating. It is primarily used as a top layer in conjunction with approved adhesives and fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) products to form a 3-layer corrosion protective coating system on steel pipelines with an operating temperature up to 85°C. With a bimodal molecular weight distribution and an improved thermal ageing resistance, Lupolen 4532D is designed for the stringent processing and performance requirements of steel pipe coating. Lupolen 4532D can be applied at high coating line speeds with a consistent coating thickness. Lupolen 4532D offers high resistance to impact, indentation, environmental stress cracking, chemicals, fungi and bacteria. Lupolen 4532D is available in natural, pellet form. It is not intended for food contact, medical or pharmaceutical applications.

This product is from the former Equistar product line.
