Akrochem AKROSORB™ 29691 PE (72) Dispersion
Categories: Other Engineering Material

Material Notes: Product Description: Akrosorb 29691 PE (72) is a uniform dry powdered dispersion of 72% polyethylene homopolymer onsynthetic calcium silicate. PE (72) is a process aid for rubber that provides excellent release from metal surfaces. The Akrosorb powder form offers the compounder an easier and more accurate means of handling and weighing this product. The PE (72) allows for mill mix processing use of PE wax (most solid PE waxes require melt temperatures of over 200°F). The lower melt product also provides release at lower temperatures than the solid PE waxes.

Applications: Used as a release agent and internal lubricant for virtually all synthetic and natural rubbers. Works well as a mold release in many non-black formulas.

Advantages: Dry liquid dispersions (DLDs) are a proven means of upgrading plant safety, efficiency, quality and raw material control. Akrochem dry liquid dispersions eliminate the messiness of weighing liquids, as well as other potential hazards in handling liquids in the plant. The “dry” physical form is easy to handle and weigh accurately. With a dispersion, better, uniform mixing, at lower processing temperatures is possible.
