ConocoPhillips Hydroclear® 220 Wet Gas Compressor Fluid ISO 220
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Description: Conoco Hydroclear® Wet Gas Compressor Fluid is designed to lubricate rotary screw and reciprocating compressors in natural gas service. Conoco's high-quality, hydrocracked base oil, combined with a specially tailored additive package and oiliness agent, provides resistance to oil wash off from cylinders in “wet gas” compression service. Moreover, Wet Gas Compressor Fluid can be used in reciprocating compressor crankcases that call for nondetergent oils. Note: The interaction between natural gas and hydrocarbon-based oils can lead to an effect known as ”gas dilution.” This effect reduces the effective viscosity of the lubricant and is normally taken into account by using ISO 220 viscosity grade products. Experience has shown that Hydroclear Wet Gas Compressor Fluid provides excellent service and value in applications for which the specific gravity of the gas stream is less than 1.0 and the gas outlet temperatures are well above the condensation point of the gas.

Information provided by ConocoPhillips.

Phillips 66 Lubricants was spun-off from ConocoPhillips in 2012, and branding was further reorganized in 2016. The Hydroclear® trade name is no longer in use but products may be available under different names.
