Microtherm Group Overstitched Panel Filament Reinforced Silica Thermal Insulation Panel, Flexible
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Silicon Oxide; Other Engineering Material

Material Notes: Microtherm® Overstitched Panel is a lightweight flexible panel of high performance thermal insulation stitched through on a parallel grid pattern and designed to form easily around complex shapes for optimized protection. Microtherm® Overstitched Panel is also available in a “semi-overstitched” version which is a slightly less flexible form that is stitched through in one direction only. This makes it more suitable for wrapping around cylindrical shapes.
    Properties
  • Formulation based on opacified silica.
  • Capable of continuous exposure to 1000 °C (1832 °F).
  • Up to 4 times more thermally efficient at high temperatures than conventional insulation.
  • Certified Class A1 to European Single Burning Item (SBI) test, EN 13823.
  • Non-combustible.
  • No respirable fibres.
  • Environmentally safe.
    Typical Applications
  • Insulation of complex shapes and cylinders that would be impossible to insulate with conventional panel or block materials.
