ChevronTexaco ISO 680 Ultra Gear Lubricant
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Features

Chevron Ultra Gear Lubricants are premium grade, multipurpose gear lubricants.

They are formulated with a unique extreme pressure additive using an inorganic borate compound. ISO 68, 150, 220, and 320 are formulated with ISOSYN® base stocks.

Chevron Ultra Gear Lubricants provide outstanding protection against oxidation, corrosion, and rust protection.

These products are ideally suited for gear sets exposed to extremely high temperatures and loads.

Tests have proven that Chevron Ultra Gear Lubricants provide a wear protection film 3 to 5 times thicker than a conventional sulfur-phosphorus antiwear film. The inorganic borate film is composed of compounds that do not adversely react with metal. The film forms promptly to provide superior gear protection and improved thermal stability. By minimizing friction, cooler operating temperatures have been observed. This results in longer gear and lubricant life.

Applications

Chevron Ultra Gear Lubricants are excellent for all types of industrial bearings and gears, particularly those operating under severe temperature and load conditions. They provide excellent wear control even in the presence of small amounts of water.

Chevron Ultra Gear Lubricants meet the requirements of:

  • U.S. Steel 224
  • AGMA 9005 EP
Chevron Ultra Gear Lubricants are registered with NSF and are acceptable as lubricants where there is no possibility of food contact (H2) in and around food processing areas. The NSF Nonfood Compounds Registration Program is a continuation of the USDA product approval and listing program, which is based on meeting regulatory requirements of appropriate use, ingredient review and labeling verification.
