ITW Plexus® MA2030 Methacrylate Adhesive
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Methacrylate; Methacrylate Adhesive

Material Notes: Plexus® MA2030 is a two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of composite, thermoplastic, and metal assemblies. MA2030 was uniquely formulated to eliminate problems associated with adhesive sag and slide, even when applied to a vertical surface. In addition, MA2030 does not boil in gaps up to 1.5 inches thick. Combined at a 10:1 ratio at 75°F (24°C), it has a working time of approximately 35 minutes and achieves 500 psi and 1000 psi in approximately 70 and 90 minutes, respectively. As with most other Plexus methacrylate systems, MA2030 requires little to no surface preparation. MA2030 provides a unique combination of excellent fatigue endurance, outstanding impact resistance, and superior toughness. MA2030 is supplied ready to use to be dispensed as a non-sagging gel.

Excellentl resistance to: ? Hydrocarbons ? Acids and Bases (pH 3-10) ? Salt Solutions Susceptible to: ? Polar Solvents ?Strong Acids and Bases. Recommended for: ? ABS ? Acrylics ? FRP ? Gel coats ? PVC ? Polyesters (including DCPD modified) ? Select metals? Styrenics? Urethanes (general)? Vinyl Esters ( Exterior applications require the use of coatings or primers that inhibit oxidation of the steel.)
