Avient Teslart™ Powder Polyaniline chains grafted to lignosulfonic acid  (discontinued **)
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer; Polymer; Thermoplastic

Material Notes:

Description/Features:

  • An inherently conductive polymer consisting of polyaniline chains grafted to lignosulfonic acid
  • polymerized in an aqueous solution into the form of a wet cake, or dried into a powder form
  • conductivity levels are controlled during the polymerization process
  • exhibiting redox activity, highly dispersible and cross-linkable properties.

Applications:

  • Anti-fouling Marine Coatings
  • Batteries
  • Antistatic Fabrics, Coatings and Packaging
  • Coil coating
  • Conductive Inks and Adhesives
  • Corrosion resistant coatings
  • EMI/RFI Shielding
  • Radar / Microwave Absorption and Sensors

Processing Method:

  • Can be processed with normal dispersing equipment, such as high speed dispersers
  • for optimal results, contact PolyOne's technical staff to determine recommended processing.

Easier to process and more environmentally friendly, Teslart ICPs replace traditional materials in applications where it is challenging to use traditional fillers such as carbon-black, salts or metal fillers. Tunable surface resistivity values are achievable with Teslart ICPs.

Disclaimer: Material should remain sealed in storage. Avoid freezing.
Teslart ICP's are made under license of NASA's U.S. Patent Nos. 5,968,417; 6,059,999; 6,299,800 and other patents pending.
