Material Notes: TIVAR® 1000 Virgin Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene UHMW-PE shapes have a well-balanced property profile with a unique combination of wear and corrosion resistance, a low friction surface, excellent impact strength and FDA and EU compliant composition. This self-lubricating grade sets the standard for engineered polymers, and is prevalent in a variety of industries and applications. For these reasons, TIVAR® 1000 Virgin UHMW-PE components are often favored as solutions for bearings, bushings, chain guides, sprockets, gears, rollers, paddles, and scrapers.
