Beryllium-Copper Alloy 165C, UNS C82400, TF00 Temper
Categories: Metal; Nonferrous Metal; Beryllium Alloy; Copper Alloy; Copper Casting Alloy

Material Notes: High strength combined with the highest modulus of elasticity of any copper alloy makes this a good spring material. Fairly high electrical conductivity, a corrosion resistance comparable to copper, and outstanding fatigue strength and wear resistance.

Casting methods recommended for this alloy: Centrifugal, Investment, Permanent Mold, Plaster, and Sand.

Applications: seam welder electrodes, projection welder dies, spot welding tips, beam welder shapes, water cooled holders, arms bushing for resistance welding, clutch rings, brake drums.

Test specimen: TF00 temper, solution treated at 800-815°C, aged 3 hours at 345°C.

Key Words: BeCu; beryllium copper alloy 165C, CA 824, FED QQ-C-390 (CA824)
