Mitsubishi RPLA 3D Printing Filament
Categories: Polymer; 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing Polymer; Renewable/Recycled Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polylactic Acid (PLA) Biopolymer

Material Notes: Mitsubishi Chemical America Performance Polymers Division has implemented a new process of recycling our own post-industrial waste that couldn’t directly be re-used during production. We collect and shred our own industrial waste and separate it into material type and color. The separated materials are mixed into a homogenous compound before being extruded again into RPLA. This process has been fully implemented and is ready to be improved and expanded! PLA is one of the best sellers in the 3D printing world. Naturally, reducing the waste stream so four PLA is our priority. As a recycled material, our RPLA (97%recycled) is now available in 8 different colors. We have determined that print performance is almost the same (if not better) as our regular PLA.

Features:

  • Utilizes post-industrial waste (>97% recycled)
  • Easy to print at low temperatures
  • Low warping
  • Limited smell
Colors: RPLA is available from stock in Black
