American Elements Terbium Nanoparticles
Categories: Metal; Nonferrous Metal; Pure Element

Material Notes: General Description

Terbium (Tb) Nanoparticles, nanodots or nanopowder are black spherical high surface area particles. Nanoscale Terbium Particles are typically 10 - 80 nanometers (nm) with specific surface area (SSA) in the 30 – 60 m 2 /g range. Nano Terbium Particles are also available in passivated and Ultra high purity and high purity and coated and dispersed forms. Research into applications for terbium nanocrystals has focused on use as a dopant in glass and optical fibers, in phosphors, nanophosphors and doped phosphorous nanoparticles i n nanosensors and nanodevices using caged atoms in nanoparticles doped with a few atoms of terbium as the emitter of green light and for their potential electrical, dielectric, magnetic, optical, imaging, catalytic, biomedical and bioscience properties and for use in coatings, plastics, nanowire, nanofiber and textiles and in alloy and catalyst applications.
