Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Altron™ LSG PC Polycarbonate
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polycarbonate (PC)

Material Notes: Altron™ Life Science Grade (LSG) Polycarbonate PC shapes are produced from select batches of polycarbonate resin that complies with the FDA regulation, for plastics intended to come into contact with food products. In addition to this, Altron™ LSG PC materials have been type tested for their compliance with USP and ISO 10993-1 guideline requirements for the Biocompatibility Testing of Materials, and they come with full traceability from resin to stock shape. These features, combined to this grade’s exceptional sterilizability by means of ethylene oxide, plasma, and gamma irradiation, and outstanding impact resistance, toughness, and dielectric properties, make Altron™ LSG PC components a favored solution for applications in the medical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology markets.
