Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Ketron® VMX PEEK FG Food Grade Polyetheretherketone
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyketone; Polyetheretherketone (PEEK); Polyetheretherketone, PEEK, Unreinforced

Material Notes: Ketron® VMX Polyetheretherketone PEEK FG (Food Grade) is a visual, metal, and x-ray detectable grade that offers extreme dimensional stability, high strength and temperature resistance. Due to the addition of specific additives to this formulation, it can be easily traced by conventional metal and x-ray detection systems, making it a favored solution for the global food processing and packaging industry. Ketron® VMX PEEK FG shapes can be easily traced by conventional metal and x-ray detection systems, allowing global food processors to safely avoid costly recalls caused by foreign contamination. As a EU 10/2011 and compositional FDA 21 CFR § 177.2470 compliant material, Ketron® VMX PEEK FG allows food processors and packagers to gain the efficiencies that polymer materials provide, while also preventing potential foreign contamination issues that can lead to costly recalls. Due to their superior resistance to wear and corrosion, Ketron® VMX FG PEEK components are favored for applications in the food processing and packaging industry such as pistons, manifolds, valves, and mixing vessels.
