ELASTO UK Mediprene™ 660420M TPE, Medical Applications, 42A Hardness
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Elastomer, TPE; Thermoplastic Elastomer, Melt-Processible Rubber

Material Notes: All Mediprene™ compounds are designed and manufactured for use in medical and pharmaceutical applications. In both medical and food contact areas, high application demands are found, such as:
  • Low extractable
  • No migration of plasticizer
  • Cleanliness
  • Good vapor and gas transmission properties
  • Softness, flexibility and clarity
  • Chemical inertness
  • Ease of sterilization for repeated use

Mediprene™ compounds can be processed using conventional thermoplastic equipment for extrusion, injection molding, etc. The compounds are not hygroscopic, and thus do not need any pre-drying. Assembling Mediprene™ to mainly all used thermoplastics is feasible.

All Mediprene™ grades are fully recyclable and where possible reprocessable during manufacturing and when burned do not emit toxic fumes.

Mediprene™ grades exhibit excellent resistance to many fluids used in the healthcare environment.

Information from Vita Thermoplastic Polymers (VTP).

Vita Thermoplastic Polymers was aquired by HEXPOL and is now ELASTO
