Master Bond EP29LPSPND-3 Two component epoxy compound
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Paste consistency
  • Exceptionally long working life
  • Electrically and thermally insulative
  • Can withstand cryogenic shock
Product Description: Master Bond EP29LPSPND-3 is a two component, high performance epoxy system for use in cryogenic applications. This epoxy has a 100 to 65 mix ratio by weight along with a very long open time exceeding 5 hours. It is specially formulated to have a paste consistency with minimal flow upon curing. Although this is a paste, it is very easy to mix A and B together. There are two main curing schedule options, both entail 12 -24 hours at room temperature followed by either 12-18 hours at 130-150°F, or 5-10 hours at 150-165°F. This epoxy contains no solvents or diluents and has very low shrinkage upon cure. EP29LPSPND-3 bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including glass, ceramics, metals, and many different kinds of plastics. It conducts neither heat nor electricity. The service temperature range is from 4K to 250°F. One particularly outstanding feature is its ability to withstand rapid excursions to cryogenic temperatures. This epoxy resists water, oils, fuels, cleaning agents, and mild acids and bases. The color of Part A is gray, B is amber. EP29LPSPND-3 is a viable candidate when a paste consistency, cryogenically serviceable epoxy adhesive, sealant or coating is required.

Product Advantages:

  • Paste consistency
  • Easy to mix and apply
  • Electrical and thermal insulator
  • Withstands rapid drop downs in temperature
