Evonik VESTENAMER® 8012 Trans-polyoctenamer Rubber
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer; Polymer; Thermoplastic; Elastomer, TPE

Material Notes: VESTENAMER® 8012 is a rubber based on trans-polyoctenamer which has proved itself as a valuable processing aid. It is a versatile polymer that can be used to solve a wide variety of problems dealing with rubber compounding and processing such as calendering, tire production, batch technology, modifications of thermoplastics, and rubber recycling. The monomer is cyclooctene, which is polymerized to polyoctenamer (TOR) in a metathesis reaction.
