Master Bond EP30LTE-LO Black Two component epoxy
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Good flow properties
  • Very low shrinkage
  • Withstands 1,000 hours 85°C/85% RH
  • Passes NASA low outgassing
Product Description: Master Bond EP30LTE-LO Black is a two part epoxy, adhesive, sealant, coating and encapsulating system featuring a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). It has an easy to use 10:1 mix ratio by weight and upon mixing, flows smoothly and readily. It has several curing schedules with an optimum being overnight at room temperature followed by 4-8 hours at 150-200°F. This epoxy system has superior dimensional stability and low shrinkage upon curing of less than 0.01%. Its CTE is 15-18 x 10-6 in/in/°C. EP30LTE-LO Black bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, glass, ceramics and many rubbers and plastics. This high modulus epoxy is thermally conductive and electrically insulating. It has good chemical resistance to water, oils and fuels. It is cryogenically serviceable with a temperature range extending from 4K to +250°F. Part A is black and Part B is clear. Master Bond EP30LTE-LO Black is used in aerospace, optical, electronic, specialty OEM and other applications where an ultra low CTE, low outgassing, and a black colored system is required. Some applications include mounting optics and sealing fibers into ferrules, as an underfill in flip chip devices, as well as a heat sinking adhesive in situations where thermal management is required.

Product Advantages:

  • Easy to mix and dispense
  • Low shrinkage upon curing
  • Thermally conductive, electrically insulating
  • Passes NASA low outgassing
  • Low coefficient of thermal expansion
