Premix Thermoplastics PRE-ELEC® ESD 6300 Static Dissipative Thermoplastic Compound
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polypropylene (PP); Polypropylene, Impact Modified; Molded/Extruded

Material Notes: PRE-ELEC® ESD 6300 is a static dissipative thermoplastic compound based on high impact polystyrene. The dissipative property is permanent and built into the polymer chain. PRE-ELEC® ESD6300 has been developed for extrusion of thermoformable multilayer sheets and injection molding. Surface resistance values of 108 O (EOS/ESD S11.11-1993, IEC 61340-5-1) can be achieved with optimum processing parameters. The products made out of PRE-ELEC® ESD 6300 are washable, reusable, recyclable. PRE-ELEC® ESD 6300 is whitish in colour and can be coloured into various bright colours.

Applications: Injection moulded boxes, bins, thermoformed trays and clamshells when permanent ESD protection is required. These products can be used in electronics, medical, pharmaceutical and paper handling industries. The performace of ESD 6300 in coextrustion can further be improved by adding ~5% of SBS. This improves the ductility of the outer layer and the adnesion between the layers

Processing: PRE-ELEC® ESD 6300 compound can be processed in normal processing conditions as with polystyrene.
Test Specimen: 10[mm] wide moulded rod
