Sandvik Kanthal Nikrothal 30 Resistance heating wire and resistance wire
Categories: Metal; Ferrous Metal; Superalloy; Nickel Base

Material Notes: Nikrothal 30 is an austenitic nickelchromium alloy (NiCr alloy) for use at temperatures up to 1050°C (1920°F). The alloy is characterized by high resistivity and good oxidation resistance. It has good ductility after use and excellent weldability. Typical applications for Nikrothal 30 are solid hot plates, open coil heaters in HVAC systems, night storage heaters, convection heaters, heavy duty rheostats and fan heaters. Nikrothal 30 is also used for heating cables and rope heaters in defrosting and deicing elements, electric blankets and pads, car seats, baseboard heaters, floor heaters and resistors.
