Celanese Celanex® 6407HR PBT, 30% Mineral / Glass Reinforced
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyester, TP; Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT); Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT), Glass + Mineral Filled

Material Notes: Celanex 6407HR is a 30% glass/mineral reinforced hydrolysis resistant polyester particularly suited for large exterior automotive components where extended flow, flatness, and good surface appearance is essential.
To avoid hydrolytic degradation during processing, CELANEX resins have to be dried to a moisture level equal to or less than 0.02%. Drying should be done in a dehumidifying hopper dryer capable of dewpoints <-40°F (-40°C) at 250°F (121°C) for 4 hours.
For subsequent storage of the material in the dryer until processed (<= 60 h) it is necessary to lower the temperature to 100° C.

Information provided by Celanese Corporation.

Key Words: 30% glass/mineral, improved impact, low warp, hydrolysis resistant
