Celanese Celanex® 6406 PBT, 40% Mineral / Glass Reinforced
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyester, TP; Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT); Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT), Glass + Mineral Filled

Material Notes: Celanex 6406 is a 40% mineral/glass reinforced resin providing excellent toughness combined with warpage resistance, surface gloss and good mechanical properties. Celanex 6406 is particularly suited to applications requiring flatness and good surface appe
To avoid hydrolytic degradation during processing, CELANEX resins have to be dried to a moisture level equal to or less than 0.02%. Drying should be done in a dehumidifying hopper dryer capable of dewpoints <-40°F (-40°C) at 250°F (121°C) for 4 hours.
For subsequent storage of the material in the dryer until processed (<= 60 h) it is necessary to lower the temperature to 100° C.

Information provided by Celanese Corporation.

Key Words: 40% glass/mineral, low warp, improved impact
