LATI LATER 4 CE/50 50% Special Mineral Filled Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT)  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyester, TP; Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT); Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT), Mineral Filled

Material Notes: Description: Later thermoplastics are polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) products. Later thermoplastic polyesters are suitable for injection molding, and are distinguished by good wear resistance, chemical inertness and low water absorption values. All Later versions can be used for products working in wet environments or in water. Because of its weak resistance to hydrolysis the use of the basic resin in continuous or protracted contact with hot water (higher than 50°C) is not advisable. Glass Reinforced Later grades feature low mold shrinkage with good mechanical properties; their rigidity increases substantially in versions with higher glass fiber contents. Later's with mineral fillers are recommended where no particular high impact resistance is necessary, but rigidity, high dimensional stability, and tight tolerances are required.

Specific Notes for this Material: 50% special mineral fillers; good flowability; very high dimensional stability; good rigidity; good thermal resistance.
