CeramTec ALUTIT® T Aluminum Titanate (Thermal Shock Optimized)
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Aluminum Oxide; Titanium Oxide

Material Notes: ALUTIT®, which is produced in a special reaction-sintering process, consists of high-purity aluminum oxide and titanium oxide. It offers excellent resistance to sudden changes in temperature, good heat insulation, low thermal expansion, and good chemical resistance. Typical applications are found in the nonferrous metals casting industry. ALUTIT® T offers good thermal shock resistance and is used primarily in components subject to high thermal loads, e.g., as hot top rings, breakings, and nozzles.
