Material Notes: Chevron Trough Grease Soft is a soft petrolatum formulation used to grease the sides of troughs in which dough is allowed to rise, which prevents the dough from adhering to the sides.

Applications

Chevron Trough Grease Soft may be used for food applications where the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved this type of product. These applications include use as a:

  • release and sealing agent for confectioneries
  • protective coating on raw fruits and vegetables
  • defoaming agent for beet sugar production, 21 CFR 172.880(c).
Non food applications include for example, use as a nonstaining concrete from lubricant.
